Bella received a present from Gramma and Grampa in the mail today. She took an immediate interest in it and has tried several different ways to open it.
Bella has been fascinated with Quincy (our Siberian Husky) the past couple of weeks. He always makes her laugh and today was the first time that she petted him. He's so gentle with her.
Today, Bella discovered that rolling can get her places. She got interested in the Christmas presents under the tree and rolled towards them. She then tried to open one by chewing on it and hitting it.
It's a couple of weeks late, but here are some pictures from our trip to South Bend for Thanksgiving. We had a delicious meal at Gramma and Grampa's and Bella met her Cousin Oliver.
Bella and Mike went Christmas shopping for Tracy today. It was cold outside so we had to put her hat and mittens on. In the store, she was as happy as could be and even fell asleep so I had to keep walking around the mall so she wouldn't wake up.
We introduced Bella to solid foods yesterday and let her try oatmeal and peaches. We got some of it her mouth but most of it ended up on her. She did much better this morning with the oatmeal and really seemed to enjoy it.
We also had her 4 month checkup last week. The doctor says that she's in great health and is developing well. 23.5 inches, 11 pounds and 15 ounces.
Isabella had her baptism yesterday at St. Luke's. Our friends Tom and Loree were the godparents. We had lots of family at the church and at our house afterwards to help celebrate this special day.
Bella was so well behaved. She fell asleep in Mike's arm right before the baptism and slept right up until the end. Even the holy water didn't wake her up.
Bella has started moving during the night. This is how we found her the other morning. Somehow she scoots up or down in her crib and then we have to pick her up and move her back to where she was.
She's also "talking" a lot more and starting to grab and hold things now.
We think that Bella may be teething. It's pretty early to start but she's showing all of the signs of teething. She drools a lot, chews on her hand and sometimes has trouble nursing. She also seems to need constant attention and cries when we leave her in her room alone for nap time.
She's also spending a lot more time on her tummy and is able to hold her head for a long time. She rolls over quite a bit now and when she can't she gets really mad. She must get that temper from Dad. She should be crawling soon!
Bella had her 2 month doctor's visit today, which meant she got all of her vaccine shots. Before she got her shots, the doctor said that she had a lot to say and that she was saying it with attitude. She cried and cried after she got them and it made her cranky the rest of the day. She has grown quite a bit and is now over 22 inches long and 10 pounds, 2 ounces.
We went to one of the local festivals today. The festival was terrible and we left after 10 minutes there. At least we got some cute pictures of Bella before we left the house.
